William “Trey” Traylor

Of Counsel Attorney

Biography

My practice has always centered on helping people navigate some of the most difficult and high-stakes moments of their lives. For more than 40 years, I have represented individuals and families in serious injury, wrongful death, and complex estate litigation matters across Alabama and Georgia. Whether someone is facing the aftermath of a catastrophic accident or a deeply personal family dispute, I believe they deserve experienced counsel, honest guidance, and direct access to the attorney handling their case.

Over the course of my career, I have tried more than 200 jury trials to verdict and have had the opportunity to argue cases before the Supreme Courts of Alabama and Georgia, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. I am also a past president of the Alabama Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and my work has resulted in more than 60 reported decisions across state and federal courts in Alabama and Georgia. These are cases that were carried through trial and appeal, reflecting both the complexity of the matters I handle and the long-term commitment required to see them through.

My approach has always been rooted in preparation, strategy, and the belief that every case deserves focused, thoughtful advocacy. After decades at a respected Birmingham firm, I launched my solo practice so I could continue offering clients the personal attention and courtroom experience they need when the stakes are highest.

Joining Meeks Impact Law as Of Counsel is a natural extension of that philosophy. Because I am licensed in both Alabama and Georgia, this relationship allows us to serve clients across both states with the benefit of deep trial experience, local insight, and a shared commitment to personal, compassionate representation. I am proud to partner with a team that values communication, preparation, and meaningful client relationships as much as results.

One of the most rewarding parts of this work is helping clients find clarity in overwhelming circumstances. Litigation can feel intimidating, especially when someone is recovering from a life-changing injury or carrying the weight of a wrongful death claim. My role is to help simplify the process, develop the strongest path forward, and see the case through with the discipline and persistence it deserves.

For me, trial work has never been about volume. It is about being fully invested in the people I represent and bringing the full weight of my experience to bear on their behalf. I am honored to continue doing that work alongside the team at Meeks Impact Law, helping families in Alabama and Georgia pursue justice with confidence and care.
